During the month of November a seminar on dental practice management and financial outlook post- election and beyond was held by the Study Club of the Palm Beaches at Ruth’s Chris restaurant in City Place, West Palm Beach. The guest speakers for this event were Debbie Castagna, dental management consultant and coach, and David Katz and associates, managing director with Raymond James Financial . Debbie Castagna is a nationally and internationally renowned consultant and speaker that works directly with dental offices helping them manage the financial aspect of a dental practice. Debbie is an engaging speaker and demonstrated it during this event. She graciously accepted to give our group this lecture live, flying all the way from San Francisco, California. Mr. David Katz and his team took over the afternoon segment and gave the group a deep insight into the condition of the economy post- Covid and its outlook for the next year. It was a very entertaining day with lots of information to consider for our immediate future and day to day financial activities. The lecture was attended by a group of local dentists, all members of the study club, that participate with the pursuit of advanced, updated education for their long term dental success. The program was conducted using proper methods of disinfecting, social- distancing, and physical barriers. All attendees, sponsors, and lecturers were provided masks and plexiglass/ plastic shields for protection and comfort. We want to extend our gratitude to Raymond James and their local branch in Boca Raton, and Biohorizons for their cooperation with such an event. Similar events with the Study Club of the Palm Beaches have been programmed until the spring of 2021.
